Who is not suitable for using telopoietin? ——Contraindications and precautions

As a GLP-1 + GIP dual agonist , Mounjaro has excellent performance in weight loss and diabetes management, but it is not suitable for everyone. Some special populations may have higher health risks when using Mounjaro, and may even face serious side effects .

This article will introduce in detail the groups of people who are not suitable for using tirpotide and the health risks that need to be paid attention to, to help users make scientific decisions before taking the medicine.

1. Patients with thyroid-related diseases

( 1 ) Patients with medullary thyroid cancer ( MTC ) or family history of MTC

Tipol may increase the risk of medullary thyroid cancer ( MTC ) and is therefore contraindicated in patients with a history of MTC or a family history of the disease .

Preclinical animal experiments with tebuconazole showed that high-dose use may lead to thyroid C- cell hyperplasia, but no similar situation has been observed in human studies so far.

( 2 ) Patients with multiple endocrine neoplasia type 2 ( MEN 2 )

Patients with MEN 2 , a genetic disease that is highly associated with medullary thyroid cancer, should not use tebuconazole to avoid the potential risk of tumor development.

Note :

People with a history of thyroid disease (such as thyroid nodules, hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism) need to assess the risks under the guidance of a doctor before deciding whether to use it.

2. Patients with gastrointestinal diseases

( 1 ) Patients with gastroparesis or gastric emptying dysfunction

Tipoleptide reduces appetite by delaying gastric emptying . If you suffer from gastroparesis or severe gastric emptying disorder , it may aggravate the symptoms and cause increased discomfort such as bloating, nausea, and vomiting .

Patients with diabetic gastroparesis need special attention because they already have a risk of delayed gastric emptying, and the use of telotriol may further affect gastrointestinal motility.

( 2 ) Patients with severe gastrointestinal diseases

People with a history of chronic gastritis, peptic ulcer, Crohn's disease, or ulcerative colitis may be at increased risk of gastrointestinal side effects when taking tepoxetine.

People with long-term gastrointestinal inflammation may be more sensitive to the gastrointestinal regulatory effects of medications, leading to more severe problems such as nausea, bloating, constipation, or diarrhea.

Note :

If you have gastrointestinal diseases, it is recommended to assess the risks under the guidance of a doctor and start with a low dose.

3. Pregnant women, lactating women and those preparing for pregnancy

( 1 ) Pregnant women and women planning to become pregnant

There is currently insufficient human clinical data to demonstrate the safety of tepote for pregnant women and fetuses .

Animal experiments have shown that GLP-1 drugs may affect fetal growth and development, so pregnant women are prohibited from using them.

Women planning pregnancy should stop taking tepoxetine at least 2 months in advance to ensure complete metabolism of the drug in the body.

( 2 ) Lactating women

It is still unclear whether tebuconazole is secreted through breast milk , but because GLP-1 drugs may affect the gastrointestinal function of infants, breastfeeding women are advised to avoid using them.

Note :

If you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, you should talk to your doctor about other safer weight management or diabetes treatment options.

4. People at high risk of hypoglycemia

( 1 ) Diabetic patients currently taking insulin or sulfonylurea hypoglycemic drugs

Tilpotide lowers blood sugar levels but may increase the risk of hypoglycemia if used with insulin or sulfonylureas (such as glyburide) .

Severe hypoglycemia may cause dizziness, palpitations, cold sweats, and even coma.

Note :

If you take hypoglycemic drugs at the same time, you need to adjust the dosage under the guidance of a doctor, monitor blood sugar levels, and avoid hypoglycemia reactions.

5. Other groups not suitable for use

( 1 ) Patients with severe liver and kidney damage

The metabolism of tebuconazole is closely related to liver and kidney function. Patients with severe liver disease or renal failure should use it with caution , as it may slow down drug metabolism and increase the risk of side effects.

If renal insufficiency exists, renal function indicators need to be monitored regularly and the dosage should be adjusted under the guidance of a doctor.

( 2 ) Those with a history of severe allergies or allergies to drug ingredients

If a severe allergic reaction has occurred to a GLP-1 receptor agonist (such as semaglutide) , the use of tirpotide is not recommended.

Severe allergic reactions may manifest as difficulty breathing, laryngeal edema, and systemic rash. If such symptoms occur, seek medical attention immediately.

( 3 ) Youth under 18 years of age

The safety and efficacy of tebuconazole have not been established in people under 18 years of age, so it is not recommended for use in adolescents.

6. Conclusion: Who should not use telopoietin?

The following groups of people are prohibited from or should use tepote with caution :

  1. Patients with medullary thyroid carcinoma ( MTC ) or multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome type 2 ( MEN 2 ) .
  2. People with gastroparesis, gastric emptying disorders, and severe gastrointestinal diseases .
  3. Pregnant women, breastfeeding women, and women planning to become pregnant .
  4. Diabetic patients who are taking insulin or sulfonylurea glucose-lowering drugs may be at risk of hypoglycemia .
  5. Patients with severe liver and kidney damage should use it with caution and adjust the dosage under the guidance of a doctor .
  6. Patients with allergic reactions to GLP-1 drugs .
  7. Adolescents under the age of 18 due to lack of sufficient clinical research data.

📌 If you belong to the above group, you should decide whether to use tirpotide after evaluation by a doctor to ensure safety.
