It acts on the parasympathetic nervous system to relieve eye pressure and dilate the pupil (pupil dilation), and to allow the muscles that focus the eye to rest (accommodative paralysis).
It is typically used for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes to treat mydriasis (pupil dilation) and accommodative abnormalities.

Properties
Clear, colorless, sterile aqueous eye drops
Ingredients
1 mL contains 10 mg of atropine sulfate hydrate.
Additives: Sodium bisulfite, benzalkonium chloride, monosodium phosphate (crystals), disodium phosphate (anhydrous), and isotonic agents.
Indications
Mydriasis and accommodative paralysis for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes
Dosage and administration
Usually, 1 to 2 drops of eye drops are administered 1 to 3 times a day.
Precautions
Main side effects: allergic conjunctivitis, meibomian conjunctivitis, glaucoma/high intraocular pressure (eye pain, blindness, headache), increased blood pressure, heart palpitations, hallucinations, convulsions, agitation, nausea/vomiting, dry mouth, constipation, hot flashes (flushing), headache, fever, etc. If any of these occur, please consult a doctor immediately.
