2. Indications

Osteoporosis .

Severe wasting state caused by chronic kidney disease, malignant tumors, trauma, or burns .

Aplastic anemia leads to bone marrow wasting .

3. Usage and Dosage

The usual adult dose of metenolone acetate is 10-20 mg daily, divided into 2-3 oral doses. The dose may be adjusted according to age and symptoms.

4. Precautions

Male patients : Regular prostate examinations are required during medication.

Female patients : They should be informed of the possibility of masculinization symptoms such as a deepening of the voice before taking the medication.

For patients with liver disease : This may worsen their condition; long-term medication requires regular monitoring of liver function.

Patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia, heart disease, bone metastasis of cancer, or diabetes should use this product with caution, as it may lead to worsening of symptoms, fluid retention, hypercalcemia, or decreased glucose tolerance, respectively.

Children : Observe carefully and use medication with caution, as it may lead to early closure of the epiphyses or precocious puberty.

Elderly individuals : Their physiological functions may decline, and they may have underlying androgen-dependent tumors, so medication should be used with caution.

Breastfeeding women : The benefits of treatment should be weighed against the benefits of breastfeeding to decide whether to continue breastfeeding or discontinue medication.
