Thyroid hormone preparations are used to supplement insufficient thyroid hormones caused by thyroid diseases or surgery.
It is commonly used to treat myxedema, cretinism, hypothyroidism, and goiter.

Ingredients
1 tablet contains: 25 μg of levothyroxine sodium hydrate (dried).
Additives: D-mannitol, potato starch, crystalline cellulose, ferric oxide, magnesium stearate
Indications
Myxedema, Klebsiella pneumoniae, hypothyroidism, goiter
Dosage and administration
The main ingredient is usually taken orally once a day for adults at a dose of 25–400 μg.
Generally, the initial dosage is 25–100 μg, and the maintenance dosage is mostly 100–400 μg.
The dosage can be adjusted according to age and symptoms.
Precautions
●The main side effects are as follows. Consult a doctor immediately if you experience any of them.
- Allergy symptoms (rash, itching)
● Occasionally, side effects may occur. This could be an early symptom of any side effects. Discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor.
- Chest pain, pressure, narrowing [angina]
- Weakness, poor appetite, yellowing of the skin and whites of the eyes [liver dysfunction, jaundice]
- General weakness, low blood pressure, decreased urine output [adrenal crisis]
