Kind tips
Adalat-CR is a prescription drug and must be used strictly as directed by a healthcare professional.- Avoid drinking grapefruit juice while taking this medication, as grapefruit can increase the level of nifedipine in the body, potentially exacerbating side effects such as headaches, flushing, and dizziness.
- Do not crush, chew, or break the tablets, as this will disrupt the controlled-release mechanism. You may see intact empty tablet shells in your stool; this is normal.
-
Common side effects may include headache, flushing, dizziness, nausea, constipation, or edema (swelling of the ankles/feet).
